Denise to Peter

When I first met with Denise and Peter I realized how much fun their wedding was going to be. Their craftiness was apparent in every aspect of the wedding, from hand made garters to a woven hand bind they added special touches throughout. They rocked their wedding out through another one of the Falls rainy days and I have to say they did not let the rain impact them at all. Everyone had a blast and the rain even caused the ceremony to become very intimate with the many guests that came to witness their union! Thanks a lot for having me capture your day!

Sun and Rain??

So Steven and I had the pleasure of shooting two very lovely girls but the skies at the beginning of the day just plotted against us. Every time we got things set up it would rain (in direct sunlight??) It was a pretty interesting time. But even though we had some setbacks (I dropped a pocket wizard - a very dear piece of equipment into the ocean :-(..... ) we still grabbed some incredible shots. Here's a few from our day... just in case you were interested in looking!

Emma to Robert

So Steve and I packed up our gear and headed down to Ocean City Maryland for the weekend. Checked into our hotel room (that had a microwave and mini-fridge - hell yes - I'm easily excited) and went out exploring the island to find some shooting spots. The next day we grabbed some breakfast and headed off to shoot Emma and Robert's wedding. Emma and Robert were a ton of fun and even with some small Snaffoos? (spelling) They kept it together and still rocked out till the end of the day. It was a gorgeous days with sunny skies and then in the evening we had clouds roll in (my favorite) And you can see the shots we got came out amazing! Props to Emma and Robert for taking some extra time to go out and grab some amazing shots and for just being all around awesome people! Good luck you guys!

"YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I CANNOT wait to see the rest!!! you are so talented!!! thank you so much for being a part of our big day and capturing it like NO ONE else could!!"

Very Big Mirrors.

So today I had the opportunity to get some really cool shots for Quantum Coating Incorporated which does some pretty amazing things. I pretty much felt like I was in a Bond film as I was suiting up to enter the clean room where they were working on coating a 6 foot piece of glass with silver for a space observatory (I think). Anyway the president of the company asked me to do some cool lighting for him to really show off the finished product... I have to say it turned out pretty awesome. Anyway, here's some shots.

Gotta love the self portraits.

Alisha to Jason

A little rain won't stop us from having an awesome time. I have to say my favorite thing to hear from a couple is: "Drew - I don't care what you tell me to do... if you have an idea and you tell me it.... I'll do it." It's this kind of mentality that allows you to get the shots that stand out far above "average." It's very hard to not get awesome photos when you're working with a couple like Alisha and Jason. - and I can't wait to see Alisha's new bar that she's opening up soon! The atmosphere was incredible (though the atmosphere may have been a bit damp) and it's these kinds of weddings that make me happy to be a wedding photographer!

I made it to the CAKE!

I have to say that Tammi and Dan are one of my favorite couples! I shot their wedding last year and was invited to celebrate and photograph Dan's Surprise Birthday Party. Talk about a blast - the entire night was very enjoyable, especially seeing all the familiar faces that I had not seen in almost a year. I'm going to have to be selfish though and have to say the best part was seeing one of my photos of Dan on his Birthday Cake. Pretty sweet.
